Nachos

 These are not yo nachos!  Blue corn tortilla chips topped with cheddar cheese, smoky beans, corn, and fresh tomatillo salsa verde!  But if you stop in for a visit we might make you a plate of your own.

  1. Aside from being amazed that you somehow found time to make fresh tomatillo salsa...this just looks delicious. I see what you're doing here. New baby + nachos = everyone will have to visit. I'm not sure how this benefits you, but I'm just going to obey the nachos and come.

  3. The smoky beans are a bit of a mystery. They came home with us after a potluck dinner at church and we don't know who brought them. They might be homemade or they might be from a can. I sort of suspect the latter as they remind me of grillin' beans. They are not seasoned with traditional mexican flavoring but were surprisingly good stand-ins. We've got a recipe for smoky black beans which we will try since we harvested a bunch of those this year.
